WE ARE ONE: Colour powder festival (inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi but not the same thing) recently came to Cape Town, South Africa for the first time and it was as a huge success!
Next weekend, the WE ARE ONE Colour Festival comes to Johannesburg on the 6th of April 2013, Emmarentia Dam, and I am so excited! I was one of the lucky ones to get a ticket because they are all sold out.
Thousands of people, dressed in white, will come together to share in music, dance, performance art and visual stimulation. Revellers at the open-air festival will soon be covered in brilliant hues as the air is filled with the clouds of brightly coloured powder at a countdown, every hour from 2pm. The festival aims to bring people together and celebrate the fun and colour of everyday life,
The festival will host a line-up of some of the biggest DJ’s in the country.
Check out the Facebook and Twitter pages for more deets and updates.

No More I Love You’s: I was watching VH1 Classics (which I adore) the other day and came across this video which I had never seen before but effing love. How progressive for 1995 and so clearly birthed Black Swan.

“No More “I Love You’s”” was the first single released by Annie Lennox and won her the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, the first to be awarded to a British/Scottish artist.

I love Annie to bits and she now lives in Cape Town with her south African doctor husband. Go us.

Stimorol’s VIP Screening of The Host: Not many people know that I am a big nerd for Sci-Fi so when Stimorol sent me a super cool press pack with a lava lamp and their delicious new limited edition Alien Abduction favour. I squealed like a 12 year old girl.
Stimorol’s Alien Abduction flavour was chosen as the winner from over 295 000 wild and quirky flavour submissions to Stimorol’s 2012 Mega Mystery ‘You Decide the Flavour’ campaign!
I’m not the only lucky one here because I have two tickets to give away to the VIP Screening of The Host at the Rosebank Ster-Kinekor on the 4th April at 6:30 for 7pm.
To enter, simply convince me you should be the winner with an “out of this world” tweet to me (@dylanjack) and @StimorolSA using #Alienabduction. The winner will be announced next Thursday the 29th of March.
Check out the The Host’s Official Trailer here.
P.S. Although I hate the homophobic Mormon that is Stephanie Meyer, the bitch knows how to create a hit. It looks amaze! The Host stars Oscar nominated Saoirse Ronan who I loved in Hanna and The Lovely Bones so I am really looking forward to seeing her again.
CONGRATULATIONS to @Qornea! His corny space pants twentry was a winner! See you up there.

Sexy Sunday: Kellan Lutz, my VOC (vampire of choice), is just delicious in this Calvin Klein underwear commercial. It will make your body ache for touch when he talks dirty… or maybe that’s just me.

He can touch my X spot.

P.S. at 0:11 the very obvious visible penis line of Kellan well known bulge is my real gift to you.

It Gets Better South Africa: This is Sade Giliberti’s video from the South African collection of videos that discourages homophobic bullying and promotes the Triangle Project Helpline in line with the Global Campaign an extension of It Gets Better Cape Town.

Sade’s is my favourite. She is a personal hero of mine and one of the very few openly gay celebrities in our country. What a woman. Thank you providing our kids with someone to look up to.

The other speakers include struggle hero Ahmed Kathrada, track superstar Oscar Pistorius (its awkward for everyone), FreshlyGround violinist Kyla-Rose Smith, presenters Jo-Ann Strauss and Sade Giliberti, models Kerry McGregor and Shashi Naidoo and Mr. Gay World 2011, Francois Nel. This diverse group of high profile individuals teamed up with students from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria to create It Gets Better South Africa.

Featuring videos in English and Afrikaans, It Gets Better South Africa was launched at the Cape Town Holocaust Centre this past week as part of the Centre’s In Whom Can I Still Trust? exhibition, which looks at homophobia in Nazi Germany and the gay rights movement in South Africa.

The producer of the series is Canadian Andrew Barry, a Master of Philosophy in Education student at UCT and my friend. Barry says: “If you’re the target of bullying on the basis of sexual orientation, please seek support. You don’t have to suffer alone. Tell someone you trust. If you’re scared and you don’t know who to reach out to, please call the Triangle Project Helpline.”

He & I would like to see more South Africans make contributions to the It Gets Better Project. On 14 and 17 March 2013, the public is invited to film their own videos at the Cape Town Holocaust Centre. To make an appointment, please contact itgetsbettersa@gmail.com

The rest of the videos will also be available for free online viewing on Youtube. Visit www.youtube.com/itgetsbettersa

NicSocks: I am a little obsessed with wearing cool socks at the moment. They always look good no matter what you weigh, especially Nic Socks.
Can you believe these are proudly South African?! Check out NicSocks.com for the latest styles and deals. I bought two pairs for my birthday as a gift to myself and have already got another two pairs. You can never have too many (Nic) socks…
Working a corporate job gets me down sometimes because I can’t wear a velvet coat and body stocking to work but wearing these cool puppies reminds everyone that my soul isn’t dead yet.
Why have you not got 7 pairs already? Go now bitch.

I hope y’all are watching/downloading illegally Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Fuck it’s amazing! It is my favourite reality show by a mile. I think this season has some of the best drag queens I have ever seen.

Eat it bitch! WERQ
